JOIN US IN PROVIDING A SAFETY NET FOR THOSE IMPACTED BY COVID-19 IN HAITI

Border closures, social distancing, political unrest, and depreciation of local currency is quickly leading to emergency level food shortages for millions of Haitians. The local La Pointe Foundation staff are committed to fighting famine with what little resources they have. Join us in providing relief efforts for families and children in rural Haiti.

TOGETHER, WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED MUCH

Haiti's ability to respond is confounded by its economic straits. Around 60% of Haitians live below the poverty line and many face a stark choice: either go about your daily business and run the risk of contracting COVID-19, or stay indoors, as the government advises, and be unable to put food on the table. By purchasing from local vendors, La Pointe Foundation is able to provide food and essentials for these families to help prevent malnutrition and famine.

COVID-19 + HEALTHCARE EFFORTS

With barely 60 ventilators for 11 million people, Haiti is the most vulnerable nation in the Americas to the coronavirus. Through the request of local leadership, we are partnering with CMB Hospital to create a space to quarantine Coronavirus patients. This space will hold up to 40 patients, and is needed for both the physical aspect of combating Covid-19, but also the psychological aspect of a population knowing they have a safety net to protect their community from this overwhelming pandemic.
